Position Summary
This positions acts as a liaison between the customer and production. This position works closely with the customer to assist in solving problems related to orders and service; assists Yearbook Sales Reps with the ordering process and with understanding the production processes; work closely with plant personnel to resolve problems, questions, and concerns the customer may have with the printed books.
Employees are continually required to maintain the highest degree of work quality as well as follow all applicable safety regulations.
Core activities include:
Demonstrate professionalism and an attitude to serve when interacting with the customers, production, sales, marketing, and the credit department.
Resolves customer concerns with choices that create win/win environments for both the customer and the company.
Assists in training of new sales representatives on product, pricing, and production issues.
Remains up-to-date on production methods to aid in resolving production issues efficiently and conducting plant tours for customers.
Must maintain a strong knowledge of the Herff Jones Program Guide and Yearbook processes.
Monitors status of jobs throughout production to update sales representatives, customers, and production personnel and to procure information and materials needed to process orders.
Assists with order entry; review of order specifications; maintains and organizes customer records; and assists in the billing process.
Works closely with Technical Support Advisor in resolving customers’ basic computer problems.
Attends yearbook workshops as assigned to train and educate school yearbook staffs in the production of the schools’ yearbook; air travel and overnight stay is required.
Help maintain a positive working environment through friendly and professional behavior with all co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment at all times.
Complete all other assigned tasks efficiently and effectively as directed by supervisors and management.
Success Indicators
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university is preferred.
Proven ability to gather, organize and document data accurately, while solving problems quickly and professionally.
Multiple examples of successfully navigating stressful situations created by deadline pressures.
Capacity to adapt and be flexible within a fast-paced environment. Remain goal-oriented, while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Demonstrated success adapting to changing priorities quickly, in response to customer needs and internal situational changes.
Previous record of successful work and attendance history.
