behalf of its client, a well-established Research Services company, is
looking for a Director of Research and Business Development, a key
leadership role that will combine strategic insight, innovation management, and
operational execution.:

Director of Research & Business Development (6019/DRB/ESS/GR)

Overview:

The position will play a pivotal part
in shaping the company’s commercial research direction and driving new growth
opportunities, while ensuring strong alignment between research output and
business strategy.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director will be responsible for setting up
and leading the Commercial Research Department, managing cross-functional
collaboration, and ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of market
and technological developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and lead the newly
  formed Commercial Research Department, ensuring its strategic integration
  within the company’s overall structure.
• Design and implement business
  development strategies aimed at expanding the company’s market presence
  and identifying new commercial opportunities.
• Oversee the planning and delivery
  of quantitative and qualitative research projects, ensuring operational
  excellence and impactful insights.
• Promote innovation and technology
  adoption, ensuring that research processes and outputs align with modern
  methodologies and digital tools.
• Collaborate closely with the CEO,
  Board of Directors, and senior management to ensure business objectives
  are fully supported by data-driven research and development initiatives.
• Monitor and analyze KPIs,
  ensuring transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across
  research operations.
• Represent the company externally,
  fostering partnerships with research institutions, corporate partners, and
  industry networks.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
  Business, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (7+ years) in
  research management, business development, or innovation leadership within
  a corporate or research services environment.
• Demonstrated track record in
  establishing or leading research and business units with measurable
  impact.
• Strong analytical mindset and
  ability to translate insights into actionable business strategies.
• Excellent communication,
  stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in using research
  management tools and digital innovation platforms will be considered an
  asset.
