As a Data Engineer you will:

• Work collaboratively with different teams to build out and support of applications through multiple product lifecycle environments
• Gather, analyze and document business and technical requirements
• Create functional requirements as an input to design
• Contribute in design and build and deploy, document the solution
• Develop and maintain strong trust-based relationships with clients
• Effectively communicate findings to clients’ executives, in collaboration with the company’s application development project management team
• Execute activities and deliverables against plan.

What do you need to have in order to succeed in the Data Engineer role:

• A BSc, and/or MSc, in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• A minimum of two years of professional or research experience as a data scientist or data engineer or equivalent role
• Working experience as a back-end developer with .NET, Java and/or C/C++, Python and/or R and SQL Server and/or open source back-end database
• Exposure to big data analytics and/or cloud technologies
• Applied use of  Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Econometrics, Statistics and Data Mining is highly preferable
• Familiarity with modern software engineering practices (e.g. CI/CD)
• Knowledge of Hadoop, Spark, Hive, TensorFlow, H2O, Apache Mahout, Azure Databricks platform, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft CNTK, Google AI Platform is highly desirable and will be considered as a plus
• Knowledge of all phases of Software Development Lifecycle.
• Experience in documenting new and existing processes or updating existing 
• Excellent command of the Greek and English language
• High level of professionalism, integrity and responsibility
• Willingness to work in new fields and develop new skills
• Team player with problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn, adapt, communicate and organize
