Post-Closing Specialist

The Post-Closing Specialist audits loan documents for compliance, completeness, and accuracy. This specialist will receive and process original signed transactional documents, organize in precise investor order, and audit following detailed and funding specific QC guidelines. The role will be responsible to disseminate digital copies through various avenues, and ensures originals are properly couriered & shipped to their respective locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong judgment skills and attention to detail in order to make proper clerical corrections and remove errors in processing documents.

Responsibilities:
Handle and process consumer documents, maintaining confidentiality

Audit loan closing documents for accuracy and compliance with client expectations

Organize QC guidelines and audit tools for efficiency

Coordinate with escrow/settlement clients to identify funding conditions caused by signing errors

Utilize internal and/or client systems to disseminate encrypted digital copies of funding packages to clients

Work with both local and client virtual desktop applications for quick servicing

Maintain an organized system to ensure original documents are shipped daily to the appropriate destinations

Process and complete files every hour, averaging 25 – 30 files per day

Maintain consistent communication with team members/leads/supervisor

Address client requests and/or inquiries via phone calls and emails

Identifies and reports any discrepancies and/or errors to supervisor

Maintain consistent communication with client to fix any and all errors throughout loan document

Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
1-2 years in Banking, Insurance, and/or Real Estate industry

Excellent Customer Service Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficient computer and typing skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Excellent attention to detail and data entry skills

Key Attributes

Strong knowledge of lender loan documents (promissory note, right to cancel, mortgage, etc.)

Experience in auditing documents for funding purposes

Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills, without compromising production or quality

Metric Expectations – 4 full closing packages per hour

Versatile Team player and Problem Solver – create wins and goes the extra mile to get results

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Dynamic communicator – both oral and written
