Chobani Creative is a team of designers, writers, producers and makers who use world-class creativity and craft to fight for happily ever after. As a Copy Editor at Chobani, this role will be responsible for proofreading and editing copy related to internal/external collateral, email, digital media, marketing, experiential, interactive, B2B and packaging to make sure that there are no grammatical, spelling or typographical errors. The Copy Editor collaborates with the Creative Design and Production teams as well as the Brand Communications and Shopper Marketing Teams to provide proofreading and editing services. The Copy Editor leverages understanding of our brands, categories, and competitive landscape to push creative boundaries. Must have excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Proofread and review all packaging files, creative pieces and printer proofs
Correct grammatical, typographical and compositional errors in copy
Pay very close attention to detail and catch any and all errors before materials are released to printers or to digital partners
Understand and communicate the brand voice and be sure that it is applied to all copy instances
Validate the accuracy and completeness of changes to all documentation
Provide precise and timely review of marketing materials for accurate use of logic, composition, style and brand
Collaborate with internal partners on copy refinement recommendations when appropriate or necessary
Work with designers to offer copy design recommendations when appropriate or necessary
Assist in maintaining consistency and standards in language and format
Provide content for style guides as needed to drive consistency across all materials
Perform other duties as necessary
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism or Public Relations or an equivalent combination of education
Minimum 3 years of copy editing experience
Must be detail-oriented with the ability to work quickly under tight deadlines
Superior writing, editing, grammar and spelling skills required
Ability to manage and prioritize a high volume of work under tight deadlines
Requires excellent organizational and communication skills in a high-energy, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
