Bookkeeper [Fixed term for 24 months]

C.G. Papaloisou Ltd, a pharmaceutical company based in Nicosia, wishes to hire a Bookkeeper [Fixed term for 24 months]. The position will work closely with Senior accountants and it will report to the Finance and Operations Director.

Main Duties

• Record day-to-day financial transactions in the company’s accounting software
• Ensure that all entries are accurate, complete, and in compliance with company policies and IFRSs (accounting standards) as well as Cyprus laws and regulations.
• Follow up with senior accountants for possible issues such as customers or vendors as late payments.
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
• Reconcile receivables and payables accounts
• Process and reconcile investments analysis before posting the journal entries to the system

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or higher
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or LCCI Higher.
• Proven experience of at least 3 years as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office tools (especially excel).
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Familiarity with payroll and tax/VAT processes will be considered an advantage.
• Previous experience with SAP accounting software will also be considered an advantage
