C.G. Papaloisou Ltd, a pharmaceutical company based in Nicosia, wishes to hire a Senior Accountant. The position will report to the Finance and Operations Director.

Main Duties

  • Recording of journal entries and updating the Company’s accounts based on Companies Law, IFRSs (International Financial Reporting Standards), tax regulations and the company’s policies
  • Preparation and review of monthly management accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Preparation and submission of the Company’s VAT and VIES returns
  • Ongoing monitoring of bank, customer and supplier accounts, including monthly reconciliations
  • Preparation and processing of payroll in accordance withe the relevant laws and regulations
  • Preparation and monitoring of the Company’s budget (including cash flow forecast)
  • Lead internal/external audit processes and serve as main point of contact
  • Ensuring the implementation of internal control procedures and Identifies opportunities for process improvements and automation to streamline accounting processes and increase efficiency
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • ACA or ACCA or CPA or equivalent professional certification required
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Cypriot tax regulations.
  • Microsoft office skills
  • Strong knowledge of ERP SAP system will be considered as an advantage
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills
