POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting and record keeping activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinates General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams’ daily operations to ensure accuracy of accounting processes and postings.
• Reviews month closing procedure, working closely with and supports the actions of the Accounting Manager and Financial Controller.
• Assists Accounting Manager and Financial Controller with Management’s reporting requirements.
• Communicates with different departments to obtain the necessary information for accurate financial records.
• Reviews departmental Management Accounts comparing to budget and monthly trends to ensure accurate financial records.
• Assists with external and internal audits.
• Assists with monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
• Responsible for the accurate and timely recording of fixed asset information into the accounting system and Fixed Asset Register.
• Responsible for the preparation of financial reports relating to fixed assets for management and external reporting purposes.
• Other ad-hoc tasks assigned by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting or equivalent
• Recognized professional qualification in accounting is preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in accounting/ finance
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles
• Good command of English language
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the experiences in ERP applications and good working knowledge of accounting software systems
