Accountant

Adecco, on behalf of a leading multinational company in the specialty chemicals and industrial solutions sector, is seeking to recruit a highly motivated professional for the following position based in Athens:

Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Submit invoices and financial data through MyData platform

• Handle INTRASTAT declarations for intra-community transactions

• Manage VIES reporting and VAT information exchange processes

• Perform general ledger postings (banks, expenses, invoices)

• Conduct bank reconciliations

• Monitor accounts receivable and payable

• Prepare payments (domestic & international)

• Handle invoicing and warehouse documentation control

• Perform monthly inventory reconciliations

• Costing of imported goods

• Verify invoices against orders and agreements

• Validate pricing and commercial terms

• Monitor post-dated cheques and payments

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 3+ years of experience in an accounting department

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas)

• Very good command of English (written & spoken)

• Experience with ATLANTIS/SOFT1 ERP systems will be considered an asset

• Previous experience in a commercial/import company or industrial environment will be considered an asset
