As an Procurement Specialist your main responsibilities will be :

• Design and execute strategic category plans for raw materials and services while monitoring economic indicators—such as energy, fuel, and inflation—to capture market opportunities.
• Manage full-scale tendering activities from initial vendor vetting, audits, and trials to RFQ management and award selection.
• Lead contract negotiations, collaborating with legal to draft, sign, and oversee agreements through the entire Procure-to-Pay (PTP) lifecycle.
• Benchmark supplier performance, conduct annual reviews, establish continuous improvement initiatives, and evaluate transport infrastructure to mitigate operational risks.
• Run targeted spend and scenario analyses to uncover savings and boost overall profitability.
• Collaborate closely with Mining, Operations, Finance, and Legal to maintain seamless material supply and project execution.
• Ensure all purchasing practices adhere to safety standards and Quality System Manual guidelines to support a zero-harm workplace.

The ideal candidate for the Procurement Specialist position will have:

• Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Logistics, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of hands-on procurement experience, ideally within manufacturing, mining, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Proven track record in complex commercial negotiations and end-to-end contract administration.
• Strong background in Capex project management and strategic vendor sourcing.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred), vendor management software, and data analytics tools.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
