JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual to build their career with our Warehouse Department as a Loader Lead. This is a dynamic role where you will be a key part of our Warehouse Team with objectives including:
- Driving loading productivity and leading by example to maintain established procedures, processes, and housekeeping standards in all areas of the warehouse operations
- Oversee the loading dock. Ensure wrapping of pallets with stretch wrap and loading product on trailers and vans according the loading sheet and that will assist the driver and customer at the time of delivery
WE’LL TRUST YOU TO:
- Provide a safe work environment.
- Ensure quality and productivity standards are met
- Conduct operations in compliance with OSHA, HACCP, and food safety standards
- Provide guidance and assistance to outbound loading, including coordinating with loaders, warehouse and transportation to ensure all dispatch times are met and in conjunction with department head, direct the day-to-day activities of the warehouse loaders – Activities include but not limited to: loading trailers, cleaning immediate area/trailers, wrapping pallets, maintain loading standards, working in different temperatures zones (freezer, cooler, dry area), running freight
- Ensure that all manifests, customer packets and miscellaneous paperwork is properly processed.
- Ensure that the flow of work is constant at all times
- Execute observation checks in all areas throughout the night to ensure best practice expectations are met.
- Communicate with internal and external customers to ensure high service levels are consistently maintained.
- Complete other duties and assignments as directed by your supervisor/manager
An ideal Warehouse team member:
- Is at least 18 years old
- Is willing to work a flexible schedule including Sunday. Shift begins at 3:30pm until finished
- Is responsible and consistently maintains good attendance and demonstrate punctuality
- Has the ability lift up to 75 pounds repetitively
- Is able to read stickers/labels including numbers and can count and perform simple math
- Is willing to work in different temperatures (Freezer -10, Cooler 28 to 38, Dry ambient temps) and fast paced environment
- Previous warehouse experience
- Previous experience pallet jack, forklift, man-lift and other such warehouse equipment
Hourly Pay Rate:
- $18.00 per hour
