Essential Duties
Effectively assist in hiring, training and development of teams of Assistant Directors of Recruitment
Develop, implement, and monitor staff performance goals to ensure maximum performance
Monitor and analyze performance data for use in daily coaching of team members.
Apply coaching techniques to enhance the performance of individual team members.
Develop and implement team building and motivational activities
Generate new business through networking and community outreach and undergraduate pipeline development.
Work directly with prospective students to assist them through the enrollment process and resolve escalated concerns.
Maintain a working knowledge of enrollment/yield status of all programs under purview and coach Assistant Directors in using probing questions and influencing to increase yield.
Work effectively with the Admission Operations team to ensure quality standards are understood and met.
Work cross functionally with other units inside and outside the school (i.e., alumni, marketing, athletics, Greek Life, etc…)
Design and execute portfolio recruitment events both virtually and in person with the consultation of the Director of Recruitment.
Travel throughout a specific territory for events, networking, community outreach, and generating interest in the University.
Consistently participate in scheduled meetings and training.
Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.
Days and Schedule: Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with extended hours including evenings and weekends as needed. In and out of state travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND seven (7) years of related administrative experience, which includes four (4) years of supervisory experience; OR, Eleven (11) years of related administrative experience, which includes four (4) years of supervisory experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
4 years of experience in higher education recruitment is preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of higher education market and industry.
Two years sales management experience including implementing training programs and/or team building and motivational activities.
Proven track record of success in sales management and/or recruitment training.
Experience in using leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Evidence of being results oriented with the ability to perform multiple tasks.
Evidence of a passionate belief in the power of education along with the desire to help adults achieve their academic, professional, and personal goals.
Evidence of effective verbal and written communications, including grammar and spelling.
Experience in CRM systems such as PeopleSoft and Salesforce.
Experience effectively delivering presentations and ideas to large and small groups.
Working Environment
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.
Required to stand for varying lengths of time, and walk moderate distances to perform work.
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
Communicate to perform essential functions of the job.
Use standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals.
This position receives semi-annual managerial review of objectives.
Work extended hours, including evening and/or weekends, as needed.
