Duties & Responsibilities

Ranking 1

Job Duty

Liaison and manager for alumni engagement initiatives to Affinity groups and their respective alumni volunteer boards or committees. Develop new affinity groups and reunions to engage alumni and strategically identify and engage new alumni leadership in respective groups to assist in building the engagement pipeline.

Ranking 2

Job Duty

Plan, direct and coordinate the activities of the Black Alumni Constituent Society, including all board correspondence, board meetings, scholarships, committee meetings, special events, volunteer leadership recruiting and training, financial transactions, and alumni awards program. Partner with Office of Inclusive Excellence on DEI initiatives.

Job Duty

Plan, direct and coordinate activities for existing and newly formed affinity groups (i.e., Greek, Latinx, LGBTQ+). This can include annual events such as, Greek Fest, mentoring through Cardinals Connect platform, and reunion programs as well as special events.

Oversee Awards Program for BSUAA Alumni Council Committee, including nominations for and selection of Distinguished Alumni Awards, Alumni Award of Achievement, Honorary Alumni Awards, GOLD Awards, Benny Awards, and serve as liaison for annual Alumni & Benefactors Dinner.

Collaborate with Office of Community Engagement to engage alumni in the local community in support of strategic goals, being the bridge between the University and alumni leaders.

Collaborate with campus partners to Ccreate/coordinate three home pre-game football gatherings, especially around Family Weekend, Homecoming and a Community focused event.: specifically, CharlieTown/Football Pre-Game gatherings – around Family Weekend, Homecoming, and a Community Focused event.

Serve as a member of a wider Alumni Engagement team to ensure collaboration, alignment and strategy as it relates to Affinity alumni engagement and key alumni markets.

Job Duty

Resident expert for the alumni engagement initiatives for Affinity groups as well as, part of a team responsible for building a comprehensive engagement strategy (DoD, Annual Giving, Marketing & Communication, Alumni Engagement).

Job Duty

Develop budget requests and written narratives for the Office of Alumni Engagement and the Ball State University Alumni Association; maintain records; review budget and expenditures for all programs administered; retrieve, update, and research alumni records.

Manage and oversee, in partnership with Alumni Engagement Coordinator, all details for marketing and communications plans to ensure timely production of print, online and overall event promotions.

Responsible for conducting evaluations for team members, assign and review work, as well as offer coaching, professional development and training.
