The College Panhellenic Advisor, reporting to the Director of Greek Life, is primarily responsible for assisting Samford’s Panhellenic student community. The position will serve in an advisory role to the Panhellenic community. This position will work closely with Samford Greek staff to promote a values-based sorority experience.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Advisement – Advise the College Panhellenic Council executive board and delegates.
Communication – Create and maintain communication with Panhellenic chapter advisors and inter/national headquarters staff through regular email updates, meetings, and trainings. Coordinate efforts and encourage sorority involvement in educational programming initiatives.
Programming – Manages aspects of the Panhellenic recruitment process alongside Greek staff. Oversee the recruitment guides, operations teams, and recruitment leadership team.
Operations and Administration- assist with daily operations and administration of the Office of Greek Life.
Collaboration – Work collaboratively with Panhellenic advisors, campus colleagues, staff, and faculty on tasks and programs as related to the Panhellenic Council. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience directly with sorority formal recruitment processes and software systems.
Experience with recruitment student leaders (recruitment officers, recruitment guides, operations teams, and recruitment advisors).
Experience with programming planning, advisement, leadership training, and event management.
Outstanding written, verbal, and technological/social media communication skills.
