DISTRIBUTION CENTERS

As one of the largest independent food distributors in the Intermountain West, Nicholas and Company delivers over 10,000 products throughout a six state area. Our partnerships and distribution area ensures Nicholas and Company’s ability to serve the diverse needs of the food service industry for years to come.
Nicholas and Company has three distribution centers varying in storage capacity to efficiently and safely store quality products in optimal condition for our customers. Our Warehouse team members go through extensive training to ensure safety and accuracy.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual to build their career with our Warehouse Department as a Warehouse Receiver. This is a dynamic role where you will be a key part of our Warehouse Team with objectives including:

• Promoting safety throughout Inbound Receiving’s daily processes, ensuring a clean workplace at all times.
• Receiving of quality products while assisting with unloading trucks

WE’LL TRUST YOU TO:

• Accurately count cases and checking all incoming product against P.O.’s
• Keep all dock doors closed when not in use
• Keep assigned dock area clean and organized
• Notify your Lead/Supervisor of any concerns such as product temperature, code dates, damage etc.
• Assist with other tasks given by management as needed.
• Be prepared to work in temperatures as low as -10. Our warehouse includes dry, cooler and freezer storage. We’ll provide the cooler/freezer wear as needed.
• This position will require you to lift (up to 75lbs) and bend throughout your shift

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:

• One year of shipping and receiving experience within the food industry
• Possess basic math and computer skills
• Ability to learn quickly and be able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Experience operating Electric Pallet Jack and/or Forklift
• Self-motivation with strong communication, customer service skills and the ability to be a team player.
