responsibilities
The responsibilities of the HR Manager include:
- Drive and promote the company’s culture and overall company vision locally
- Accountable for the formation along with GMs and C Level of Country Human Resources
- Budget (HR, L&D, Compensation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations)
- Working along with the GMs and HODs of the properties to maintain work force staffing, budgets, P&L
- Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly HR reports as requested
- Administers HQ HR employee and H&S files. Responsible for all back office and administration tasks of the department
- Adjusted and maintained a performance management review program and salary administration, including Job descriptions and role classifications, salary structure and salary increases that mirror the organisation’s strategic goals and objectives
- Adjust, implement a full corporate Policy/Procedure structure in line with the Group Policy
- Work with C level and International HR executive board proving them summary analysis and a detailed overview of the HR planning for short and long-term goals
- Drive and promote the company’s culture and overall company vision locally
- Develop and implement the people development and performance appraisal policies
- Initiates competency appraisals, cascades guidelines and provides needed trainings or supports during implementation of the initiative; reviews results and suggests development plans for all employees
- Highlights potential employees as well as high performers and proposes succession planning
- Monitors and enforces the correct implementation of HR practices and policies as per the country labor law, company internal rules and policies
- Analyzes manpower needs in the operations, screens, conducts interviews and recommends candidates for vacancies, where needed
- Monitors employee behavior, trends and complaints, suggests preventive measures to prevent turnover or disengagement; analyzes undesired turnover and suggests corrective measures
- Works closely with General Managers and department heads to resolve employee issues and relations. Helping empower managers to lead and support their people
- Prepares data related to employee reward (Salary increases, bonus, exceptional rewards) to be discussed with management
- Assists in all activities concerning the sourcing & recruitment of staff, performance management, staff discipline and HR administration
- Oversee all matters related to staff accommodation, facilities, and transport
- Conduct needs analysis, develop, implement, and monitor training programs and materials
- Encourages a good standard of employee conduct and behavior
- Assists in communication of key messages to all team members
- Assists with and ensures that all procedures concerning promotion, transfer and staff resignation is carried on within Company policy and also within legal boundaries
- Maintain a positive relationship with staff representatives and ensure any employee grievances are monitored and resolved
- Develops and maintains confidential departmental staff and associated files, documents, pay scale details and/or other important databases
- Respond to all inquiries by Unions in professional manner
- Facilitating organizational change either upon hotel takeover from previous owner or intra-organizational change
- Creates and maintains a positive working environment by addressing employee demands, complaints, or other issues and strengthening the team mentality
- Coordinates all third party contracts such as Animation, outsourced hospitality roles
- Coordinates student needs and maintains relationships with country hospitality schools
requirements
The ideal candidate for the HR Manager position should have:
- Bachelor degree In Human Resource Management, Business, Hospitality or equivalent
- Several years of HR leadership experience, ideally acquired in the international group-environment
- Experience in hospitality industry or relevant is prerequisite
- Experience in collaboration and negotiations with trade Unions
- Experience in planning and implementing HR projects
- Confident appearance and constructive collaboration across all hierarchy levels and organizational units
- Open, convincing and appreciative communication style
- High sense of responsibility, motivational capability and willingness to make decisions
- Fluent Greek, English (written and spoken), additional foreign languages are an advantage
- Accountable, driven and people centric approach
- Able to be a role model for the right behaviours
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related Greek laws and regulations/
- Collective labor agreement in the sectors of Hospitality and Tourism
- Business thinking and understanding of functional area
- Strong relationship management, communication & coaching skills
- Ability to turn goals into plans and ensure their implementation
- Passionate about people and intellectually curious
