The candidate for this position is expected to be a transformational leader for this community and Department while supporting and participating in the Division of Student Affairs training and development. As an engaged team member with colleagues in the Division of Campus Life portfolio, the Coordinator will also be a “bridge builder” with administrators and connecting students to departments and services. The primary purposes of these collaborative efforts are primarily to engage students with the campus community and to cultivate experiential learning opportunities.

Required/Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year institution. Master’s degree in Education or related field preferred.
Required
Greek experience at the Inter/National level.
Required
Working knowledge of Greek letter social organizations within a large, urban University.
Required
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership development training to college students.
Required
Demonstrated skill in inter-group dynamics, intercultural relations and organizational dynamics.
Required
Skill in prioritizing assignments and completing work in a timely and accurate manner.
Required
Skill in interpreting University of California, Los Angeles, regulations, rules and policies.
Required
Ability to make knowledgeable and appropriate referrals to other UCLA departments.

Skill in student programming and Greek letter social organization internal and external programming.
Required
Demonstrated ability to make effective oral group presentations.

Interpersonal skills to work effectively and sensitively with a large and diverse group of students.

Ability to write effective business correspondence and procedural guidelines.

Ability to implement, evaluate and consult Greek letter organizations on current recruitment programs, trends and procedures.
