Food expediters communicate orders and information between the front of house and back of house, making sure that food is cooked in the right order, quickly, and make sure the orders are being cooked in a timely fashion, so that all orders for a table are ready at the same time and make sure that the food is cooked properly. The Expediter is also in charge of final presentation of the plate, making sure it’s garnished correctly and free of smudges and or spills.

General Responsibilities

∙ Stocking the Expo Line with plates, utensils, boxes and bags.

∙ Making sure all plates are in correct spots.

∙ Sanitation: garbage, cleaning expo line, sanitation buckets, broom, mop, floor etc.

∙ Rotation of all plates

∙ Clean Up Duties: Expo Line and other stations

∙ Stocking of all bar inventory.

∙ Restocking workstation for next shift.

Skills/Aptitudes:
∙ Professional communication skills are required.

∙ Ability to take direction.

∙ Ability to work in a team environment.

∙ Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.

License/Qualifications:
∙ Food Handlers permit required.

  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays*
  • Must have 1-year experience*
