Position Description:
Portfolio Associate Team Overview
Portfolio Associate team members directly support Portfolio Managers and build relationships internally with Account Managers, Product Managers, Legal and Compliance counterparts, Operations teams, and other Portfolio Associate teams across the firm’s global offices. On a day-to-day basis, Portfolio Associates actively monitor portfolios to assist Portfolio Managers in rebalancing risks and providing operational support where necessary. Portfolio Associates are routinely encouraged to provide creative solutions and develop key tools and reporting methods to support the Portfolio Management team.

Position Requirements:
Candidate will focus mainly on operational implementation of systematic quant strategies
Utilizing proprietary risk systems for monitoring of portfolio exposures
Understand the systematic trade lifecycle, escalate and resolve operational issues
Collaboration with Traders, Portfolio Managers and Technology across regions
Perform day-to-day monitoring of an automated trading system
Triage problems (e.g. trading outages, market data issues, etc.), and manage the control mechanisms of the trading system
Coordination of daily responsibilities handover across time zones
Responding to ad hoc requests from the Portfolio Management team
REQUIREMENTS
Good understanding of quantitative investment models and prior quant/systematic trading support experience are preferred
Intermediate level understanding of execution algos and Trade Cost Analysis (TCA)
Market Data services and implementation
Fixed Income transactional knowledge across exchange traded derivatives and currencies
Strong academic background in a technical field from a leading, accredited college or university
Good understanding of fixed income and equities including knowledge of most cash and derivative instruments
Good understanding of interest rates, foreign exchange, credit and equity derivatives; proven knowledge of Option Greeks; familiarity with rolls and expiry processes
Outstanding communication skills are required to operate in a complex financial environment
Excel “power user” – SQL, VBA and programming skills in multiple languages are preferred
Strong process-oriented background and ability to demonstrate keen portfolio risk and operational awareness
Outstanding analytical skills with a proven ability to function efficiently and problem-solve in a fast paced and time-critical environment
Ideal candidate will have Master’s degree in a technical field plus 2-3yrs of work experience
