Coordinator, Campus Life & Community Director

Rider University’s Office of Campus Life is seeking an energetic individual to serve as Coordinator of Campus Life & Community Director. Primary responsibilities include the enforcement of the Rider University Student Event Management Policy, helping student groups in the planning and coordinating of social functions and events including contract execution, advisement of the Student Finance Board and Class Councils, and the planning and implementing of various weekend and late night events and programs.

The Coordinator will also have responsibilities as a Community Director who is the primary live-in staff member in one of five fraternity/sorority houses on campus. Primary responsibilities include working closely to support the undergraduate Community Assistant and the chapter leadership by providing assistance with advisement, leadership development, policy education and enforcement, and co-curricular programming that supports the organization’s mission.

This 12-month position includes a full benefits package, a furnished apartment and a full meal plan. Start date preferably January-February 2022, but flexible per needs of selected candidate through summer 2022.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree

Leadership experience in higher education in one or more of the following areas: Campus Activities, Student Programming, Event Management, Greek Life, and Residence Life.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Proven commitment to providing leadership in enhancing an atmosphere of diversity and inclusion.

Flexibility with work schedule is necessary, as weekends and evenings are required.

A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Knowledge of web editing software packages
