As IMERY’s trusted partner, Randstad is seeking to recruit specialized accountants (GL, AP, AR) for this new SSC organization.

Do you have experience in accounts receivables and general ledger? Then this accountant position is waiting for you. We are looking for an accountant to join the Shared Services Center (SSC) team of IMERYS. The position is full time and permanent, based in Athens.

responsibilities

As an accountant at IMERYS your responsibilities will include:

Fixed assets

• Record fixed assets acquisitions and disposals in the system
• Monitor depreciation for all fixed assets
• Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger
• Update the schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation
• Monitor Construction in Progress

Bank accounting

• Perform bank reconciliation between bank statements and GL
• Maintain banking relationships and manage bank charges
• Be responsible for the accurate and timely settlement of payments

Intercompany

• Investigate AP and AR discrepancies and propose solutions
• Control intercompany netting and settlement (collect receivables)
• Perform intercompany reporting
• Provide month-end information to accounting (accruals)

General accounting

• Review masterdata (incl. chart of accounts)
• Book journal entries (revenue, accruals, provisions, reclasses)
• Launch costing transactions and check product valuation 
• Perform month-end close

requirements

In order for your profile to match the accountant position at IMERYS, you need to have the following skills:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Fluent in English
• French, German, Dutch, Finnish, Spanish or Italian is a plus
• Having worked in a SSC environment would be a key
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance
• Experience with SAP would be a plus
