KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the collections of high-end Department Stores (Saks, Neiman, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales etc.).
Reconciliation of the receivables with the vendor portals.
Matching open deductions against open credit memos or unapplied cash.
Properly coding the chargebacks to proactively resolve deductions.
Research numerous types of retailer deductions including, but not limited to violations, shortages, pricing, handling, returns and determine root cause and appropriate actions for resolution.
Investigate, dispute, and resolve payment deductions (authorized or unauthorized).
Manage cash posting and application in a timely manner.
Ability to communicate to accounts regarding payments and ensure payment is received in a timely and efficient manner.
Manage collections by examining the aging and coordinating contact with the AR Manager and CFO for problem accounts.
Responsible for releasing orders.
Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records, and reports to appropriate persons.
Performs other general accounting tasks required to support the Accounting Department.
SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Minimum of 3-5+ years of relevant work experience in Accounts Receivable & Chargeback required
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and positive demeanour
Ability to analyze, problem solve and must possess exceptional attention to detail
Possess strong presentation skills and able to analyze collected data and present to senior management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge and use of Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup) required
Must be able to meet deadlines and demonstrate high sense of urgency
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
SAP experience strongly preferred
