The Art Department at Rhode Island College invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach upper-level courses in Greek and Roman Art to studio and art history majors.

Essential Duties

Teach upper-level course in Greek and Roman to studio and art history majors.

Occasional Duties Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Understanding of the key issues of the field, ability to instruct with force and clarity.

Required Qualifications

MA in art history and teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications

One year college level teaching experience.

Environmental Conditions

Teaching/instruction is performed in a traditional classroom setting or online.

  • Candidates must eligible to work in the United States. -UNION ELIGIBILITY: Adjuncts become eligible to join the RIC/AFT Adjunct Union if they complete 6 load hours (excludes applied music) within the two previous consecutive years. -Payment is made once a month; applicable taxes are withheld. -There are no fringe benefits with this position. -Candidates will be required to provide contact information for three professional references.
