C# / C++ Programmer Analyst

Responsibilities

Department:
Equities and derivatives department, with a special focus on Equity and Commodities indexation.

The business users supported by the team are in New York.

Distributed team between Paris, London, New York and Montreal.

Role and responsibilities:
The position is for an exceptionally motivated, capable experienced Software Developer. Your responsibilities will be on 2 distinct areas: Support (20%) and Development (80%).

Devops support level 1 to 3 for the Commodities Index IS called meteor:

Develop knowledge and expertise on Commodities index markets

Have a client centric approach when interacting with traders, sales and transversal teams for requests/incidents

Investigate production issues quickly and efficiently

Respect procedures and security standards

Collaborate with remote teams in Paris, London and NYC for:
Follow the sun support

Technical migration

Global retrospectives session

Automate production processes and recurrent incidents with script, API, Chatbot..

Investigate, debug, code and deliver fixes for known problems when prioritized by product owner

Industrialize commodity Index composition reporting

Developer C Sharp/C++

Be a main actor in the strategic project to transfer commodities activities into equities and derivatives information system and decommission the old Information system.

This specific position is to work on the tool called Storm: high performance risk management application that uses distributed computing for computing Risk figures and greeks in real-time for equity perimeter.

Responsibilities and tasks include and are not limited to:
design, development, tests, deployment and support of high-quality software applications using C++, C# and related .NET technologies, as well as REST services.

Collaborate with global teams across multiple locations like Paris, NY and Montreal

Develop knowledge and expertise on financial instruments

Have frequent interaction with traders to understand their needs and demo the new features

Pair program, submit pull requests and participate in code reviews with the risk chapter

Leverage on and keep improving continuous delivery pipeline based on Jenkins

Profile required

Technical skills:
Required/Must have:
Solid programming skills in C# and related .NET technologies (5 years): WCF, Rest API, dotnet core

Solid programming skills in C++

Expertise in database programming including writing SQL queries and stored procedures.

Programming skills/experience in Python

Desired/Plus:
Agile / Scrum experience including TDD

Familiarity with Continuous Delivery practices and tools

Familiarity with container technology and hosting

Competencies:
Required/Must have:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work in an international and distributed team environment

Critical thinking, curiosity and problem-solving skills

Ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow through all tasks to completion

Ability to collaborate with rest of the team and work remotely

Knowledge of financial instruments

Desired/Plus:
Knowledge of commodity index instruments

Ability to read and speak French

Experience Needed:
Five plus years of experience as a dotnet and/or C++ developer

Experience working in support role

Experience working in a global/international financial IT environment is preferable

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
