Job Description
Olympia Souvlaki, a Greek restaurant located in downtown Vancouver is looking for a competent and passionate Restaurant Cook to join our ever growing team. This is night shift working starting from 12 pm to 8 am.
Two years of relevant work experience and also having technicale degree in a related field is required. Having related work experince in Greek restaurant is considered as an advantage.
Some main responsibilities and duties as a Cook will include but will not be limited to:
- Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef.
- Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers.
- Oversee kitchen operations.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
- May set up and oversee buffets.
- May clean kitchen and work area
- May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies.
- May hire and train kitchen staff.
