Reporting to the Associate Director of Student Involvement, the Coordinator for Greek Life will provide leadership, guidance, and support to the Greek-letter organization at the University. The oversight of Greek Life will include assisting fraternities and sorority in meeting their goals and objectives, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, and adherence to University policies, procedures, and regulations. The Coordinator will provide advisor training, Greek Life advisement, programming and leadership training, as well as policy development.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the 40+ Greek Letter organizations and unaffiliated organizations recognized by the Center for Student Involvement
Oversight and management of the University’s Greek Life standards and regulations, which includes policy development accountability, conduct matters, retention, community service, and scholastic achievement of all Greek-letter organizations. Evaluates and recommends proactive and efficient policies and procedures in line with best practices in the field
Hire, train and supervise two full-time Graduate Coordinators
Serve as the fiscal agent and provide oversight and financial accountability of programming and staffing budget. Oversee the programming and security budgets allotted for the Office of Greek Life and Greek community
Serve as the administrator for the Greek Bill Financial Management System
Meet weekly with the Greek Council President, biweekly with members of the Greek Council Leadership Team, and facilitate weekly Greek Council meetings
Maintain accurate and current records of membership, conduct matters, retention, community service, and scholastic achievement of all Greek-letter organizations
Coordination and oversight of formal and informal Greek Life recruitment/intake processes, including implementing mandated workshops for all prospective members and recruitment chairs
Coordinate and lead Greek Life trainings, Greek advisor trainings, in-services, and workshops, including hazing prevention workshops and National Hazing Prevention Week
Develop resources and services that support the exploration of academic success, leadership, chapter development, peer and group accountability, values congruence, risk management/reduction, membership recruitment, community service initiatives, and health promotion
Serve as University liaison to alumni advisors, regional leadership, and national offices of Greek organizations, maintaining communication regarding chapter status
Coordinate and assist with Greek Week, Greek Organization Fairs, and annual awards banquet
Coordinate annual Greek Leadership Conference
Management of the Greek Life website and social media presence for the community
Maintain a Greek Life master programming calendar and utilization of Orgsync, serving as Greek Life OrgSync umbrella administrator
Oversee the Red Hawk Accreditation system which includes semester evaluations of all Greek organizations
Oversee and provide academic support, for students below the established GPA requirement through the Academic Probation plan, while collaborating with appropriate campus partners
Co-coordinate hiring, training, and supervision of Program Managers with the Coordinator of Student Activities
Act as a student advocate, providing advice and appropriate referrals to students seeking assistance
Collaborate with the Director of Student Conduct and/or University Police on any judicial matter pertaining to Greek Life
Actively collaborate with other campus departments in support of student organizations (Dean of Students, Residence Life, Student Conduct, Center for Leadership and Engagement, etc.)
Serve on University committees as assigned
As a staff member of the Center for Student Involvement (CSI), participate in evening/weekend event coverage and assist in the planning and implementation of University-wide events such as Move-In Day, Red Hawk Frenzy, Ask Me Booths and Homecoming
Be available to fulfill work responsibilities outside of established work hours
Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree supplemented by a Master’s degree in a field related to the position; preferably in Student Affairs, College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, Counseling or equivalent
A minimum of two years of professional (post-graduate) experience within Student Affairs (i.e Greek Life, Student Activities, Residence Life, etc.)
Direct involvement and/or working experience with Greek Life
Student-Centered philosophy with a genuine interest and commitment to the success of all students
The ability to build a strong and healthy rapport with students
PREFERRED:
Working knowledge of NIC, NPHC, NALFO, NMGC, NAPA, PROF, CPC/NPC, and local organizations
Membership in a social or professional fraternity/sorority
Professional affiliations within NASPA, AFA and/or ACUI
Academic and/or professional experience with program evaluation and assessment
Experience with and demonstrated competence using social media, student engagement platforms (such as OrgSync), and software (Adobe products and online multimedia tools) to meet the objectives of the position
