Job Summary
The Division of Student Affairs at Auburn University is seeking applications for the position of Coord, Student Programs. Specifically, the position will be housed in the Auburn University Office of Greek Life and will advise and support to the Panhellenic Council. This position develops and executes a comprehensive strategy which will build a cohesive community that supports academic success, encourages personal growth and development, and increases the recruitment, retention, and representation of underrepresented students on Auburn’s campus.
Essential Functions
- Advising the Auburn University Panhellenic Council, its officers and related committees;
- Managing any extension efforts involving Panhellenic chapters;
- Managing Panhellenic’s annual formal recruitment program;
- Serving as an advocate and resource for students;
- Assisting with program planning and implementation for all Greek students;
- Communicating with alumnae advisors, inter/national officers and headquarters, local law enforcement agencies and community officials;
- Participating in staff training and meetings;
- Supporting large events for other Greek councils, such as recruitment processes and philanthropy events;
- Serving as a liaison between Auburn University and key constituents interested in the fraternity community, including Auburn University faculty and staff, fraternity headquarters staff, chapter advisors, parents, alumni, and community members;
- Supervising one graduate assistant;
- Supporting and advising the disciplinary process and assisting with investigations involving fraternities and sororities;
- Participating on committees and other programs promoting the Office of Greek Life and the Division of Student Affairs.
This position will be responsible for office-related duties such as Greek roster management, coordination and assistance duties in investigations related to fraternities and sororities, and maintenance of Greek housing records. This position requires working long hours, often on week nights and some weekends, and a commitment to team work.

The individual in this position will report directly to the Director of Greek Life.

Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education, Counseling, Business or related field;
- Prior advising experience with student programs and/or Greek letter organizations;
- Experience in higher education administration and student affairs programming, operational knowledge of National Pan-Hellenic Council organizations and other multi-cultural Greek organizations;
- Budgeting experience;
- Demonstrated leadership in initiating and implementing educational programming among student groups/organizations;
- Membership in a Greek organization.;
- Exemplary written and interpersonal communications skills and the ability to draw upon significant relationships with internal and external constituents;
- Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
Salary Grade 31
Salary Range $31,300 – $58,400
