Position Overview:
Coordinates and execute specific activities, programs, and services for student organizations, student leadership programs and other campus activities. Provide information and resources for students, parents, and University staff related to campus programming. Participate in program development and make recommendations. Prepare and review expenditures related to department and fee-funded group budgets. Promote safety and compliance in activities.
Department Specific Essential Job Functions:
The successful candidate for this position will be someone who believes in the fraternity & sorority experience, as well as serves as a steward for creating meaningful experiences for students. This person must be able to establish rapport and professional relationships with our student community. In addition, this person serves as a resource for faculty, staff, and as an advocate for students to facilitate cooperation and understanding of the unique characteristics and benefits of the Greek system. They will design, implement, and evaluate programs that enhance the social and academic effectiveness of the Greek community. Reports to the Director of Student Engagement.
Specifically, the coordinator oversees and provides support and advisement to the Interfraternity Council and the National Panhellenic Council. In addition, the coordinator advises the Greek Programming Board and is responsible for the Greek Life social media accounts. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a fellow coordinator who advises the Panhellenic Council and the Multicultural Greek Council. Together, the coordinators serve as liaisons to the national offices, regional advisors, and faculty/staff sponsors of all Greek chapters. The coordinator will participates/attend national and regional conferences regarding fraternity/sorority life. Other duties include coordinating special projects and training sessions. Some evening and weekends. Performs other duties as assigned. Reports to the Director of Student Engagement.

Qualifications Required:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in field plus 2+ years of relevant experience in the chosen field or 5+ years of equivalent work experience that provides knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. Requires the application of expertise in a chosen field to achieve results.
Qualifications Preferred:
Experience in student affairs, programming, and fraternity/sorority life. Master’s degree in counseling or college student personnel.
