Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, college student personnel or a directly related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama and possession of a valid driver’s license and maintenance of a driving record sufficient to maintain insurance coverage under the University of South Alabama.

These are the job duties required of the position.

Essential Functions

Assists the Associate Director in the development, implementation and administration of educational, cultural and recreational programs designed to meet the needs of a diverse student body; advises Jaguar productions in the planning, promotion, implementation and evaluation of programs; assists in the selection, training and leadership development of Jaguar Production student officers and chairs; meets with students to provide organization advising, one-on-one advising and event/program advising; assists in the supervising of student assists to include assigning duties, checking work and signing time sheets; acts as staff sponsor of Jaguar Productions; coordinates meetings and retreats to include reserving space/place, scheduling sessions and notifying participants; communicates with agents concerning the availability to talent and negotiation of terms for programming efforts; assists in the supervision of the University Programs graduate assistants; prepares and processes requisitions, contracts, deposits and other related documents in a timely manner; transports students to meetings, retreats, and conferences which may require overnight stay; attends meetings and events which may require working evenings and weekends; develops learning outcomes and performance assessments of Jaguar Productions; participates in various committees as assigned; participates in all departmental developmental activities; performs all functions and responsibilities of a Campus Security Authority as defined in the Clery Act; prepares various reports utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel; collaborates with faculty, staff and students to provide a comprehensive student life experience; stay committed to student learning and professional development; supports the Student Center Department compromised of Students Activities, Greek Life, University Programs and Student Center Services; accompanies students to regional and national conferences as needed and appropriate; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required; related duties as required.
