The person in this role is responsible for ensuring consistent quality production of products through sustained management of supervisor’s execution of standards and operating procedures to maximize profitability and ensure achievement of all plant goals. The position reports directly to the Director of Manufacturing and directly supervises Production Leadership to ensure timely quality production of products in a safe, clean environment. This role has a responsibility for ensuring both food safety and quality of Chobani product.
Responsibilities
Actively work with the Safety Team to support plant-wide safety programs.
Create and foster a work environment that promotes team work and accomplishment to maximize employee satisfaction.
Monitor and control plant staffing needs with Lean manufacturing practices.
Solicit and provide ideas for improvement to drive quality, safety, sanitation and profitability to ensure achievement of overall plant goals.
Implement procedures to eliminate waste, contamination and overruns.
Ensure compliance to corporate policies, including sanitation and safety.
Accurate and timely completion of all production-related reports and records.
Manage profitability through focus on product cost controls, reduction of waste and overtime management to ensure compliance with budgetary goals.
Train, coach and develop Managers & Supervisors to provide management depth; evaluate and upgrade as needed through utilization of accountability systems.
Communicate with the Director of Manufacturing about possible improvements and or potential problems during the production process.
Ensure proper use and care of machinery to reduce downtime.
Timely and proper completion of tasks assigned.
Maintain an understanding of all equipment.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ exempt-level management experience in a dairy manufacturing environment is required with preference in the yogurt industry.
Bachelor’s Degree or 10-15 years of equivalent work experience.
Reliable attendance for each scheduled shift.
Computer skills to include high level experience in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Knowledge of safety requirements and programs as well as GMP guidelines.
Ability to efficiently schedule production.
Ability to motivate and direct employees to achieve desired outputs.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement and ability to drive continuous improvement.
Documented track record of meeting or exceeding production objectives.
Standing, sitting, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling – repetitive at times.
Noise produced by manufacturing machinery up to 90 decibels.
Ability to lift, hold and/or carry 20+ pounds of product.
Working on a computer and looking at the computer screen.
