Position Summary:
Responsible for working closely with Information Technology and Information Security leadership, business leaders, and functional teams to ensure Disaster Recovery capabilities meet the Recovery Time and Recovery Point objectives as defined by Business/Technology Impact Analyses and business requirements. The Disaster Recovery Analyst is responsible for developing and managing plans and testing for Disaster Recovery and works in conjunction with Technology team members, data center partners, and other stakeholders to create recovery strategies and plans. Responsible for testing recovery plans and documenting test results, managing and coordinating Disaster Recovery operational activities and working closely with the Business Continuity team to mitigate any effects on the ability to conduct business in the event of a disaster. This position ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
Responsibilities:
Develops and documents loanDepot’s Disaster Recovery plan, partnering with IT to identify all assets
and critical applications are accounted for, prioritized based on criticality, and ROT (Recover Time Objective), RPO (Recovery Point Objective), and MTD (Maximum Tolerable Downtime).
Leads and supports the development and training on disaster recovery.
In the event of an actual disaster, supports crisis meetings and the disaster recovery process.
Coordinates the review, maintenance and testing of the Disaster Recovery Plan for core infrastructure services and applications, working with Information Technology and the business. (i.e. Table Top Testing, Emergency Drills, Technology Tests, Functional Testing, etc.).
Assists with Technical/Business Impact Analysis activities (e.g. interviews, questionnaires, data input, and assessment).
Partners with the Business Continuity Manager in the reporting of the progress and compliance of disaster recovery and business continuity processes, readiness, events and tests or exercises results.
Maintains records retention schedule and assists in establishing a records management program, including identifying record coordinators for each department and providing direction for supporting the program for their area of responsibility.
Develops destruction program effective in identifying and destroying all types of data on a regular basis in accordance with established retention schedules.
Works with IT leadership to integrate retention requirements into systems to automate destruction when retention is met; ensures proper migration of data to a readable format throughout the retention period for retired systems.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position.
Solid experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Technology, Information Security, Risk Management, or related field
Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple work streams.
Relationship building skills and the ability to influence and communicate related concepts to technical and non-technical staff.
Tactical thinking skills, creative problem solving, and analytical skills.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to make informal and formal presentations, inside and outside the organization; speaking before assigned team or other groups as needed.
Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Ability to provide consultation and advice to management.
Ability to work with minimum to moderate supervision while performing duties.
Five (5) + years’ experience in: one or more of the various disciplines (e.g., disaster recovery, business continuity, policy, compliance, information security, operational risk management)
Experience in the Mortgage and/or Finance industry preferred.
Familiarity with implementing Disaster Recovery components to comply with regulatory requirements.
Possible certifications preferences include: Certified Business Resilience IT Professional (CBRITP), U.S.
Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM),
Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM),
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Records Manager (CRM).
