Summary of Job Duties:
The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) (www.uamont.edu) is seeking applicants for a Coordinator of Student Activities. This is part-time temporary position. The position reports directly to the Director of Student Activities and/or the Dean of Students.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs), the Student Government Association (SGA), the Student Activities Board (SAB), and Greek Council (fraternities and sororities)
  • Advise, counsel, guide, and coordinate student organizations in planning, advertising, resource management, and faculty/staff advisor information
  • Advise student leaders and student organizations on programs and events
  • Provide on-site supervision of events and activities at night and on weekends
  • Arrange, plan, market, and evaluate student or departmental programs
  • Produce reports and conduct program evaluations for campus-wide programming
  • Assist in supervising student workers and graduate assistant(s)
  • Update the Recognized Student Organization (RSO) handbook and publications as needed
  • Assist with budget supervision and development
  • Special events for which Student Activities is responsible includes, but is not limited to: Homecoming festivities, Welcome Week, Orientation, Holiday Festival Week, Black History Month, Greek Week, Spring Fling and other programs/duties as assigned.
  • This position requires night and weekend work.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in student programming on a college or university campus is preferred. It is essential that the successful candidate have experience in Greek Life. The successful candidate shall have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff, and a high-level of energy and enthusiasm. A demonstrated understanding of the role of student involvement in overall student engagement, retention, and success.
