We are seeking a Finance Manager to have overall responsibility for the finance function, on behalf of our client a multinational company, in the food industry.

responsibilities

As a Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Set up the accounting & finance functions
• The production of monthly management accounts in line with Group reporting
• Put in place credit control policies for the existing customer base
• The preparation of monthly management accounts and annual accounts
• Management of finance team and supervision of customer services team alongside offshore Commercial director, (3-4 persons)
• Management of receivables , aged debtors and inventory control
• tax obligations
• Compliance and maintenance of all statutory records
• Managing the HR and outsourced payroll functions

As the ideal candidate for the Finance Manager position, you need to have the following skills:

• Qualified accountant with IFRS experience 
• A self-starter who demonstrates ownership of the tasks and objectives of the department
• Excellent analytical skills. Ability to interpret data to give the overall picture whilst checking for accuracy.
• Proven experience in managing a team and ensuring a high level of engagement.
• Proven ability to prioritize, manage expectations and work to tight deadlines.
• Proven leadership and delegation skills.
• Fast learner, able to apply skill set to new scenarios.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with staff at all levels.
• Ability to clearly explain financial information to both financial and non-financial populations.
• Excellent team player.
• A clear risk focus with previous experience of implementing and reviewing internal controls.
