This role, based out of either New Berlin, NY or Twin Falls, ID, will be responsible for supporting the quality and food safety needs of the global business. This position, under the direction of the Director of Food Safety & Quality Systems, will lead in the creation, revision, integration and alignment of Quality-based SOPs (global and site-specific) with Chobani Standards. This position will also assist in assuring that site Quality and Food Safety programs are aligned and in compliance with local and federal regulations, and thus, be well-informed and knowledgeable of GMPs, HACCP, FSMA/PCHF, PMO, SQF (and other GFSI standards), and other applicable food safety regulations. This role will assist in the development and refinement of an internal auditing program that evaluates for compliance against applicable regulations, GFSI criteria and Chobani policies. The individual in this role will need to effectively collaborate with Site Quality Teams to ensure that production facilities are audit-ready (from both a documentation and training standpoint), and will lead in the development and optimization of quality-based training for the business. This role should have a basic understanding of microbiological science and be competent and proficient with, at minimum, lab and data management (i.e., LIMS) workflows and good document control procedures. This position will support the global business. but will be based in either U.S. location.
Responsibilities
Drive the integration of global and site procedural documents (SOPs) with Chobani Standards and ensure that documents are in compliance with applicable regulations and GFSI standards.
Assist in implementing and maintaining an internal audit programs for domestic plants.
Work to ensure that documentation for both U.S. plants are current and audit-ready.
Lead in the evaluation, implementation and optimization of current and future software/systems that support business-critical data management workflows for Global Quality (e.g., LIMS, document control, etc.).
Serve as a liaison to other functional departments in optimizing the functionality of current/future systems/software for business use (e.g., specification management).
Maintain records for site lab proficiency performance and help drive for continuous improvement when necessary.
Develop a competency map on technical roles in Quality Department to serve as basis for implementing a comprehensive training curriculum for the business.
Seek out opportunities and options to facilitate the conveyance of key training on core competencies and skill sets to the business.
Provide input and expertise on other key business projects as subject matter expert.

Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, or a related technical discipline
Up to 3 years of relevant experience in the food and/or beverage industry (including in a testing laboratory) or technical association, in food safety and quality management systems.
Sound fundamental knowledge in GMPs and other HACCP-prerequisite programs. In-depth knowledge in HACCP, quality assurance, food safety and quality auditing, as well as FSMA and PMO regulations.
Ability to work cross-functionally with diverse groups including site quality, operations, R&D, human resources, etc.
Skilled in good document writing practices and public speaking for both technical and non-technical subject matter.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, and able to work with/influence others at all organizational levels.
Demonstration of business acumen skills.
Self-driven with excellent prioritization and time management skills.
HACCP Alliance certification.
PCQI certification.
Knowledge and understanding of systems and application knowledge, such as SAP, Microsoft Office, LIMS, etc.
Train-the-trainer (preferred).
