responsibilities

As a general ledger senior accountant at IMERYS your responsibilities will include:

• Perform period-end financial close activities and meet all related deadlines
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, including general ledger accounts and sub-ledger accounts
• Administer all bank transactions
• Monitor recording of newly-acquired assets, tracking of existing assets, depreciation, and accounting for asset disposal
• Oversee intercompany activities (check consistency, collection, and payment, accruals, reporting)
• Guide operationally the less experienced team members
• Assist in the implementation of GL process improvement initiatives

requirements

In order for your profile to match the general ledger senior accountant position at IMERYS, you need to have the following skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance 
• 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience with ERPs (experience with SAP will be a plus)
• Fluent in English
• Conversant in French, German, Italian or any other European language is a plus
• Having worked in a Shared Services Center environment would be a key asset
