Summary
ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for Guest Services Supervisors at The Greek Theatre. Under general supervision, Guest Services Supervisors are responsible for providing excellent customer service at all events, while overseeing ushers, ticket takers and specific event-related procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Professionally represent and effectively manage all Guest Services efforts on behalf of the Theatre.
Oversee the fluidity of guest ingress and egress operations in a safe and efficient manner.
Assist in handling complaints, disturbances or related problems with guests and team members.
Well-versed in ticketing operations, resolution and overall ticket equipment functionality and usage.
Effectively communicate and document escalated customer issues to Event Services Management.
Gain control over unusual circumstances caused by fire, unforeseen events, and emergencies.
Accommodate guests with disabilities in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Assisting guests with directional and informational inquiries while providing solutions.
Serve as escalation point for upset or emotional guests and provide recovery services as needed.
Maintaining records and preparing incident reports for management.
Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
Complete Rest/Meal breaks in accordance with California Labor Laws.
Professional presentation, appearance, hygiene and work ethic.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Organize, brief and direct various personnel and activities necessary to establish a safe and efficient environment.
Schedule event staff for day-to-day operations and special events. Continue to adjust and update work schedules to reflect cost efficiency and building activity.
Effectively manage time to ensure all event related tasks are completed prior to the conclusion of each shift.

Education and/or Experience
The minimum age requirement is 18 years to apply. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and two (2) years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Abilities
Demonstrate knowledge of principles and techniques of planning, implementing and supervising event staff.
Handle conflicts and exercise proper action during high tension and stressful situations.
Work independently, exercising judgement and initiative.
Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule constraints while producing accurate results.
Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others under pressure.
Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, vendors, patrons and neighboring departments encountered during employment.
Possess any appropriate licenses as required by the state.
Employees must be fluent in English; multilingual applicants are a plus!
Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows and other standard office equipment.
Exposure to ticketing platforms, scanners and equipment is a plus

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility, stand for long hours, and effectively communicate with guests and staff. Position requires step climbing, walking, and sometimes running; may be subject to physical confrontations; indoor and outdoor working conditions; irregular hours. This position may be substantially exposed to adverse conditions. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events. Physical requirements include the ability to communicate verbally and to be able to move.
