The successful candidate will have the skills necessary to lead a program, build institutional support, and develop student athletes. Thiel College’s next Head Football Coach will be a dynamic leader who directs all aspects of the football program with integrity. The Head Football Coach serves as an active and visible campus presence, serving on committees, meeting recruits, and engaging with student-athletes through highly impactful practices on the field and activities off the field that promote leadership and retention.
This position will have the opportunity to work with and develop a committed group of student-athletes promoting student success both on the field and in the classroom. Thiel’s Head Football Coach will be charged with leading the efforts to build and strengthen a cohesive football program while working with the Director of Athletics, Vice President for Enrollment and the Admissions staff to strengthen a well-structured recruitment program to identify and recruit high-quality prospective student-athletes to support the competitive growth of the football program. In addition, they will work collaboratively with Sports Information and the College’s Office of Communication and Marketing to enhance the football program’s brand through effective marketing, and deepen the support of alumni and program sponsors.

Reporting to the Director of Athletics, this full-time, 12-month position will be responsible for directing all aspects of Thiel’s NCAA Division III program and will be expected to abide by and uphold the regulations of the NCAA Division III and the Presidents’ Athletic Conference.
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Head coaching or coordinator experience in a successful NCAA program is desired.
