INVENTORY CONTROL/QUALITY ASSURANCE CLERK

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual to build their career with our Support Staff as an Inventory Control Clerk. This is a dynamic role where you will be a key part of our Inventory Control Team with objectives including:
- Cycle counting of inventory, entry of inventory data into the computer system and inspecting, approving or rejecting all inbound perishables, as well as the quality of outbound shipments
WE’LL TRUST YOU TO:
- Assist in checking in routes/drivers as needed which involves accounting for all paper work from drivers and any returns or other
- Track and report on inventory levels
- Communicate with all buyers, sales reps and customer service about products, ongoing patterns, and slow moving product
- Running various reports to capture inventory, trends tracked through cycle counts
- Assisting all other departments with their inventory needs, researching discrepancies, matching credits, validating product, and solving any issues
- Maintain and monitor product that does not meet Nicholas & Co. standards
- Inspect inbound produce
- Assist with inbound product slotting and on hand product consolidation
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:
- One year of shipping and receiving experience
- Ability to lift 25-90 pounds repetitively
- Basic math and computer skills
- Able to demonstrate attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to communicate and coordinate with other employees
- Must be able to work in different temperatures zones ranging from -10 to 80 degree
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as electric pallet jack, reach truck, forklift and/or man lift
BONUS POINTS FOR:
- Minimum of one year experience in warehouse operations and able to identify basic inventory terminology
- Knowledge of Microsoft office (word, excel, access, outlook PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of produce
- Ability to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends
