JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual to build their career with our Purchasing Department as an Investment Buyer. This is a dynamic role where you will be a key part of our Purchasing team!
WE’LL TRUST YOU TO:

  • Execute buy from vendor, generate PO and work PO confirmations
  • Forecasting – including trends (demands highs and Lows), accurate standard deviations (resulting in accurate and appropriate safety stock), set appropriate service levels and accurate buying multiples
  • Communicate– via email and IM’s. Send out supply shortages to sales. Respond to vendors and sales requests.
  • Inbound freight optimization – late POs
  • Confirmation Review
  • Inventory Management (turns, weeks on-hand, inventory balance between multiple DC’s)
  • Work Reports:
  • Meet goals for: Fill Rate, Weeks On-Hand/Inventory Turns, Inventory Adjustments, Spoils, and Forecast Accuracy

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:

  • Associate’s degree or two years of college coursework or two years of relevant experience
  • Experience with forecasting, statistics, reporting and business intelligence tools
  • Intermediate to Advance expertise with Microsoft Excel (Microsoft Access desirable)
  • Well-developed organization, troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work in a team environment
  • Committment producing accurate and high quality work with strong attention to deadlines

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • Previous foodservice purchasing, logistics or inbound transportation
  • Experience with E3 or Clarity purchasing systems
