Assistant Housekeeper – Athenaeum InterContinental Athens
Job Overview
Must oversee the day-to-day
operations of the Housekeeping Department, with a primary focus on guest rooms.
This role supports the daily operation of the department and acts as the Deputy
in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper. The successful candidate will
report directly to the Executive Housekeeper, always ensuring smooth
departmental operations.
The ideal candidate will:
- Ensure consistently high standards of
cleanliness and guest service - Maximize guest satisfaction by
addressing all housekeeping-related needs - Conduct regular inspections to ensure
cleanliness and maintenance compliance - Implement IHG brand and departmental
standards - Handle and resolve guest complaints
related to housekeeping services - Ensure timely and professional handling
of guest requests - Perform frequent room inspections to
ensure standards apply - Perform any task/project as assigned by
the Ex-Housekeeper or Director of Rooms - Ensure compliance with Health &
Safety regulations - Conduct staff performance evaluations
and provide constructive feedback - Monitor departmental costs and implement
cost-control measures - Create staff schedules based on hotel operations
and departmental requirements - Provide ongoing mentoring, training, and
support to the housekeeping team - Lead, motivate, and manage the
housekeeping team to achieve departmental goals - Assist in carrying out the Linen
inventories
Απαραίτητα Προσόντα
- Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality,
or Tourism - Fluency in English and Greek (spoken and
written) - Previous experience in a similar
position within a hotel environment - Excellent organizational skills and
attention to detail - Team player with the ability to work
under pressure - Flexibility to work in shifts, including
weekends and holidays - Proficiency in computer systems and
hotel management software
