Job Description

An Investment Data & Valuation (IDV) Associate will operate and oversee internal and vendor systems to create and maintain accurate investment product database, investment pricing and valuation, corporate action processing, and investment reporting, etc.

An IDV Associate will have a strong understanding of financial market, exchange traded and OTC products, and investment pricing and valuation, as well as a keen interest in learning new technologies and systems that help automate and process timely and accurate financial data. Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain global reference database for various financial products including exchange traded, broker-dealer platform, and OTC derivatives
  • Ensure accurate and timely pricing and evaluation, perform price validation, and interact with market data vendors (Bloomberg, ICE, Markit, Refinitive, etc.) such as price challenge
  • Process corporate actions at global portfolios such as dividend, split, merger/acquisition, call/put, etc. and asset servicing, drawdown, payback, rate reset, etc.
  • Involved in set-up, maintenance and monitoring of automated processes such as trade capture, investment pricing, and OTC derivatives evaluation.
  • Respond promptly to enquires related to financial instruments, corporate actions, pricing and valuation, as well as investment reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and preferably master’s in finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Computational Finance, Financial Engineering, or other quantitative fields preferred
  • CFA, FRM or enrolment in such professional programs is strongly desired
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Knowledge with VBA, SQL, Python or other scripting language
  • Experience with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE, IHS Markit, and/or other market data vendors
  • Working knowledge with VBA, SQL, Python or other scripting languages
