Associate Lawyer

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Associate Lawyer with a specialty in Corporate Law and Energy Law to join a leading Greek law firm. This is an excellent chance to become part of a dynamic and highly skilled legal team in Athens. You’ll be responsible for delivering top-tier legal services to clients in the corporate and energy sectors, tackling complex projects, and providing strategic advice on regulatory and transactional matters.

Responsibilities

As an Associate Lawyer, your main responsibilities will include:

• Legal Drafting & Research: Negotiate and draft a variety of legal agreements, commercial contracts, and documents. You’ll also conduct in-depth legal research and draft legal opinions.
• Corporate & Advisory Support: Provide daily legal support to corporate clients through all stages of a company’s lifecycle. This includes preparing corporate minutes, handling corporate bookkeeping, and offering advice on corporate law requirements.
• Corporate Governance & Transactions: Advise on corporate governance and regulatory compliance, and handle complex procedures like corporate restructurings, transformations, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&As). This involves designing transaction structures, performing legal due diligence, and negotiating all transaction documents.
• Client Management & Collaboration: Maintain strong relationships with clients through effective and clear communication, explaining complex legal issues in an understandable way. You will also work as an active team member, sharing knowledge and participating in client meetings.

To be considered for this Associate Lawyer role, you should have:

• A Bachelor degree in Law.
• A Master’s degree or certification in energy law is considered a plus.
• A strong background in corporate, commercial, and energy law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
• A minimum of 5 years of work experience, ideally at a Greek law firm specializing in corporate and energy law, or in the legal department of an energy company..
