As a Casual Waiter/Waitress at Conrad Athens The Ilisian, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Your responsibilities will include providing support to the waitstaff, ensuring timely service, and maintaining a pleasant environment for guests. This position is perfect for individuals seeking flexible hours while being part of a passionate and dedicated team.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-volume service calmly and efficiently
• Able to adjust quickly and flexibly to new tasks assigned
• Attention to detail during setup (alignment, cleanliness, symmetry, consistency)
• Welcome and greet guests, take their orders, and provide menu suggestions based on their preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in dining areas, ensuring tables are set properly for new guests.
• Help in clearing used plates and utensils from tables promptly while ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Address guest inquiries and requests with enthusiasm, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance service skills and knowledge of menu offerings.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe dining environment for guests and staff.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service orientation with a positive attitude towards guest interactions.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both Greek and English; knowledge of additional languages is a bonus.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
• Professional appearance and behavior.
• Confident but discreet presence.
• Able to follow instructions from supervisors and work cooperatively with colleagues.
• Must possess physical stamina for long hours and lifting/setup tasks.
• The casual waiters will be engaged on a non‑permanent basis and will be scheduled strictly on an on‑call arrangement, according to operational needs
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate varying business needs.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new dining styles and service standards.
