Responsibilities include:

• Administer, maintain, and optimize Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence platforms.

• Configure workflows, permission schemes, custom fields, dashboards, automation rules, and issue types to support business processes.

• Serve as the primary liaison between business units and technical teams for all Atlassian-related requirements.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements for scalability and resilience.

• Ensure data integrity, manage backups, and perform regular system updates and patching.

• Develop training materials and provide ongoing support to users and teams.

• Enforce security protocols, access controls, and compliance standards aligned with financial industry regulations.

• Collaborate with DevOps, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure teams for integrated tooling and reporting.

Requirements:

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience administering Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence in a complex, enterprise-level environment

• Deep understanding of workflow design, permission schemes, custom fields, dashboards, automation rules, and issue types

• Strong proficiency in configuring Atlassian tools to meet diverse business and operational needs

• Solid troubleshooting skills, performance monitoring, and maintenance experience

• Familiarity with ITSM principles and tools such as Jira Service Management

• Knowledge of security protocols, access controls, and data governance in regulated industries

• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills for training and support

Preferred/Valued Experience

• Scripting knowledge (e.g., Groovy, Python) and experience with tools like ScriptRunner, Automation for Jira

• Integration experience with Active Directory, CI/CD pipelines, or other enterprise systems

• Exposure to financial industry standards and regulatory requirements (GDPR, PCI, ISO 27001, ISO 20022 etc)

• Experience customizing Confluence spaces, templates, and macros for advanced documentation workflows

• Familiarity with Atlassian Cloud and Data Center environments

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

• Atlassian Certification (ACP-120: Jira Administration for Cloud / ACP-100: Jira Administration for Data Center) is a strong plus.
