Maintenance Engineer

The maintenance engineer in this company will be responsible for the seamless operation of the production line through proactive and corrective maintenance of industrial equipment.

The maintenance engineer will be responsible for:

• Preventive Maintenance: Conducting regular inspections, adjustments, and maintenance on core equipment, such as shredders, conveyor belts, separators (magnetic and air separators), dust collection systems, and other auxiliary equipment.
• Corrective Maintenance: Immediate technical intervention in the event of a breakdown or malfunction. Replacement of components, repairs, and adjustment of machinery to restore functionality.
• Production Support: Collaboration with production personnel to resolve technical issues and ensure the seamless operation of the production line. Ensuring minimum downtime.
• Continuous Improvement: Participation in technical upgrade projects or the optimization of equipment and processes. Submission of technical proposals to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
• Recording & Documentation: Completion of work orders and fault reports. Recording of actions in the maintenance system (AIMMS), including the spare parts used.
• Compliance with Regulations: Adherence to all company safety policies and environmental guidelines. Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and participation in regular fire safety and preventive maintenance drills.

To be a good fit for the maintenance engineer position you will need to have:

• Technical training in mechanical equipment (e.g., graduate of Vocational High School (EPAL)/Vocational Training Institute (IEK) or Technological Educational Institute (TEI) in Mechanical Engineering).
• Previous experience in a corresponding maintenance position, preferred in an industrial or production process environment.
• Very good knowledge of hand tools and maintenance methods.
• Problem-solving ability and capacity to work under pressure.
• Team spirit and cooperation with different departments.
• Basic computer skills and experience in recording data in maintenance software.
