C.G. Papaloisou Ltd, a pharmaceutical company based in Nicosia, wishes to hire a Senior Accountant. The position will report to the Finance and Operations Director.
Main Duties
- Recording of journal entries and updating the Company’s accounts based on Companies Law, IFRSs (International Financial Reporting Standards), tax regulations and the company’s policies
- Preparation and review of monthly management accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Preparation and submission of the Company’s VAT and VIES returns
- Ongoing monitoring of bank, customer and supplier accounts, including monthly reconciliations
- Preparation and processing of payroll in accordance withe the relevant laws and regulations
- Preparation and monitoring of the Company’s budget (including cash flow forecast)
- Lead internal/external audit processes and serve as main point of contact
- Ensuring the implementation of internal control procedures and Identifies opportunities for process improvements and automation to streamline accounting processes and increase efficiency
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- ACA or ACCA or CPA or equivalent professional certification required
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of relevant experience
- Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Cypriot tax regulations.
- Microsoft office skills
- Strong knowledge of ERP SAP system will be considered as an advantage
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills
