The Role:
As a Senior Legal and Regulatory Affairs Officer, you will provide support and advice on various legal and regulatory matters across the Group. The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Work closely with the Head of Legal & Regulatory Affairs for legal and regulatory mattersand provides expert and professional legal advice, guidance and support to ensure any legal risks are identified, reported and mitigated
- Assist in legal and regulatory research, analysis and briefings for various jurisdictions, advising on how these may affect the organization’s operations
- Draft, review and assess internal and external agreements, commercial contracts and other corporate legal documents and participates in complex negotiations
- Assist with drafting, reviewing and maintaining internal policies and procedures
- Prepare and submit clear, timely and accurate internal legal opinions for other business units, on corporate, commercial and regulatory matters
- Assist in reviewing, designing and implementing data protection processes and procedures, helpto handle data subjects’ requests when needed
- Provide training and constructive feedback to team members, share knowledge and experience, and assist the Head of the department in monitoring their performance
- Recognise departmental development needs and provideinsights and suggestions to improve internal efficiencies
- Liaise with external advisors in various jurisdictions, as may be needed
- Keep up to date with legal and regulatory changes and developments and informs the Head of the department and/or other stakeholders, as needed
Main requirements:
- BSc or MSc in Law
- CySEC advanced certification will be considered a plus
- At least 3 years of relevant experience is a must. Experience within the Forex industry will be considered an advantage
- Fluency in Greek and English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, sharp, efficient, and organized personality
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Professional, reliable and discreet
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask and prioritise
- High attention to detail
