POSITION SUMMARY:

The Supervisor, Pool & Fitness efficiently assists in the management of the daily Pool & Gym operations in accordance with the standards set by the company to meet the needs and demands of in-house guests, visitors, and hotel management

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees all gym, sports center and indoor pool , fitness and recreational classes if any. This may include but not limited to design and provide personal training programs as requested by members and guests, coaching customer service skills to pool and gym hosts and attendants, looking into program structure and schedule for group fitness and recreational classes
  • Ensures that all SOPs, Manuals and Policies are implemented and updated as required
  • Prepares and delivers various reports required by management on a timely basis. Reports may include but not limited to daily sales, monthly profit & loss report, monthly statistic and / or other ad-hoc reports
  • Provides setup and assists in wellness classes/ activities and events to VIP guests and media
  • Performs soft selling techniques for wellness / personal training classes/ activities and events as well as retail products to maximize sales and revenue
  • Conduct regular trainings to the Spa & Recreation Hosts and attendants covering products, services and facilities upselling. Also covering service flows in wetspa, pool and gym as well as sports center facilities.
  • Effectively attends to guests’ concerns by establishing each guest needs and trying to meet their requests within constraints provided by the company
  • Assists guests and visitors by taking bookings and reservations, providing information and directing them to facilities available in the Spa & Recreation
  • Ensures guests’ profile cards and contact details in the data base are updated by the Hosts and Fitness Instructors.
  • Ensures that reservations are confirmed by Hosts or Fitness Instructors prior to appointments
  • Aesthetics of the premise, cleanliness and hygiene practices are maintained at Pantry, Treatment rooms, Spa, Pool & Gym common areas, Sports Center and Reception areas
  • Works closely with other Business units to ensure Spa & Recreation facilities achieve the highest possible conditions while operating efficiently
  • Prepares work roster for attendants, Spa, Pool & Fitness
  • From time to time, the spa Pool & Fitness supervisor may be provided with additional tasks to ensure maximum efficiency as well as creating personal growth, duties may include assisting the Managers and also in other sections of the Spa & Recreation
  • Performs monthly stock takings and purchase requisitions, while monitoring stock levels
  • Attends meetings, as required, and needed
  • Ensures that confidentiality and/or discretion is always maintained regarding guest’s information and activities
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures
  • Reports accidents, injuries, unsafe work conditions and / or security issues to the superiors
  • Performs other reasonable job duties as assigned by superiors from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

  • Minimum 3-years of experience in a hotel gym or fitness centre as a fitness trainer/lifeguard or as a supervisor with Lifeguard/Fitness Trainer

Education

  • High school diploma
  • International Lifeguard Saving Skills or Fitness Trainer Certification
  • First Aid certification is a must

Skills

  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledgeable in POS operation systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent command of English and Greek with business writing skills
  • Ability to work on flexible shift including overnight, weekends and holiday on rotation basis
