ICAP Executive Search & Selection, on behalf of a leading Greek dairy company with an established market presence, is looking for a driven professional for the role of Technical Operations Supervisor, based in Athens.

Technical Operations Supervisor (6165/TOS/ESS/GR)

Role Overview:

The Technical Operations Supervisor supports the smooth operation of the plant by assisting in all technical matters, including engineering planning, improvement initiatives, CAPEX projects, technical studies and construction coordination. The role bridges operational execution with technical planning and project support, ensuring compliance with industry standards and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Technical Director in all technical matters, including preparation of offers, technical studies and coordination of construction and engineering projects.
  • Define and monitor priorities, KPIs, and reporting structures for all technical activities.
  • Support in preventive maintenance planning and support facility operations to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze technical issues, perform root-cause analysis and support engineering improvements.
  • Oversee building and facility maintenance, ensuring proper upkeep and operational alignment.
  • Collaborate with HSE and Quality teams to support audits, inspections, compliance, and certification activities.
  • Recommend engineering upgrades, process improvements and technical solutions to enhance efficiency, safety and cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare proposals, evaluations, and business cases for new machinery, technologies, and CAPEX investments, ensuring alignment with production strategy.
  • Coordinate and supervise installation, integration and commissioning of new equipment with contractors, OEMs and cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in supplier visits, industry exhibitions and technical evaluations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with food industry standards, safety regulations, and technical documentation.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the Technical Director, aligned with operational and strategic goals.

Απαραίτητα Προσόντα

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Automation Engineering. Certifications such us Lean Six Sigma are considered a plus.
  • Proven experience in a technical or maintenance leadership role (at least 5 years) within an industrial environment, with solid and demonstrable experience in the food manufacturing sector.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical/electrical equipment, CAPEX projects, technical studies and construction coordination.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong command of MS Office, AutoCAD and ability to work with technical documentation, maintenance logs and engineering studies.
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek and English.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, project management mindset and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness for occasional international travel (suppliers, exhibitions, training).
