The Caloyeras Center is seeking part-time faculty to teach interdisciplinary courses in Modern Greek History, Society, and Culture starting in Fall 2021 (two courses in Fall and one course in Spring; four credit hours per course per semester).

Faculty are empowered to positively contribute to our students’ educational experience, are encouraged to continually seek professional and personal development, and are inspired to make a difference each day in the lives of our students.

Part-time faculty/ lecturers will instruct and facilitate meaningful learning of the course competencies in the curriculum and proactively support all facets of the learning environment consistent with the university’s mission; provide education through learning-centered instruction that will enable graduates to fulfill the evolving needs of the job market; encourage a culture of learning that values mutual responsibility and respect, life-long learning and ethics as well as personal and professional development.

Key Job Elements :
Develop course syllabus based on the program’s course descriptions

Deliver learning-centered instruction and hold regular office hours as stipulated in the faculty standards

Conduct assessments of student and program learning outcomes

Attend department meetings as requested

Schedule Information: Days/evenings depending upon course schedule

Qualifications: M.A. in Modern Greek Studies / Modern Greek History / European History with a specialization in Modern Greece is required; Ph.D in Modern Greek Studies / Modern Greek History is highly preferred; at least two years teaching experience at the university level.
